Here are some pictures of my 2005. Black/red interior 6 speed, Z51. I got it in December of 2004, have approx. 4300 miles on it. Experienced DBS once, not since pulling relay 46. Still concerned about the crank bolt issue, but have autocrossed it several times without problems. The pictures with numbers are from Corvettes Do Brainerd and the NCCC Convention in July. I use numbers made of 3M insta-change, which install and remove easily, especially with Zaino.
here's a 1:12th scale model.
The 2005 and the 2003 convertible. (My 1984 is in front of them)
Welcome to the forum. I see you are from St. Paul, MN. Its nice to see other people on here from MN. Last year a bunch of guys on here all got together and went for a Sunday cruise, so keep in touch and you will have to join us.
Relay 46 is a fuse/relay used for the headlamp washers on European models, but is also part of the domestic models electrical system. At least that's what I've concluded from previous forum information. This relay is one of the suspect elements contributing to the DBS. All I can say for certain is that I have not had a recurrence of DBS since it was pulled. Coincidence or not? I haven't a clue.
Yes, I am a member of Suburban. Joined in 1975 and belonged until about '89 when the kids were young. Rejoined in '04. My computer skills are less than stellar so I have monitored a lot of the discussions rather than contribute. With assistance from the 19 & 16 year olds I am getting better. Hopefully will continue to improve. With the cars stored, I'll have more time to spend honing my skills!
