Takes about a minute or so before it registers change from startup...
Within a degree or two of the NWS temp when I'm driving by thier sensor - can't ask for better than that. The startup delay is to prevent high temp readings due to heat from the car itself.

Same here - mine almost always matches the local airport reported temperature. Only time it doesn't is when it is a hot day and I am stuck in rush hour traffic ....
Mine works like a charm! It has been very reliable and accurate.
I agree with that post. You just have to wait a little bit and the results get shown right. I have had this system in my 05 Vette and 2 Silverado P,U, trucks. It even gives you a ice warning if the temp gets close to 32+-. That saved me late one night comming home as I was zipping right along on a mountain road with the P.U. and failed to realize the elevation change brought me into colder weather.
I had just finished a hard day and my senses were not in "sharp driver mode"
I saw the display saying ice, and carefully made a brake test. Could have been a problem if I had hit the brakes hard or went into a turn too fast
The manual is a bit vague about how it works - it only goes "up" when you're driving, and it sounds like it doesn't go down until you restart the car. If it has been running in the last 3 hours it just uses the last temp.
That's not the way I read the manual and what I have seen. The car display may start with the previous temperature if it has been off for less then 3 hours. Then it will adjust the temp display down immediately or up when you begin driving.
If the outside temperature goes up, the displayed
temperature will not change until:
• The vehicle’s speed is above 10 mph (16 km/h) for
five minutes.
• The vehicle’s speed is above 32 mph (52 km/h) for
two and a half minutes.
These delays prevent false readings. If the temperature
goes down, the outside temperature will be shown
when you start the vehicle.
If it has been turned off for less than three hours, the temperature will be recalled from the previous vehicle operation.
Not mine. I was just commenting to my wife yesterday as we drove for lunch. It was in the mid 60's outside yet the display read 37 degrees. Just a tad bit off. Maybe it also has a wind chill sensor built in.
I have an 05 SSr and most of the electronics are C6 based and my DIC flashes "ICE Possible" when its 50 degrees out. I would assume its a sensor or a programming problem. I know they have a TSB out now for the SSr for this issue.
