Default Passenger window

I have my C6 about 2 weeks and noticed a few days after I bought it that the passenger window does not go completely down like the driver's. It stays about 1/4 inch over the door edge when all the way down. I called the dealer and they said no problem just stop in and they will adjust it. Here's where it gets interesting, I was over a friend's house last night, he has his C6 about a month. We put his passenger window down and it is the same as mine! Now I am wondering if this is a common thing. If it is I will leave it alone and not have them play with the door. Has anyone else noticed this? I am planning on checking the ones in his showroom before I give it to the service dept.

No, I don't think that is normal. But then again, I have a crappy 05 and the windows go all the way down. Another upgrade I missed

Sounds like a window indexing problem. It is not normal, the window should go all the way down. Check your manual for the procedure to reset the window indexing feature.

Does the window index properly when opening and closing the passenger door? Raise the window all the way up and continue to hold the switch in the up position for an extra 3 seconds, then release the switch. Without lowering the window, hold the switch in the up position again for 3 seconds. Release. The window indexing has now been reset.

Now see if the window will go all the way down.

Both windows index correctly but I will try the reset procedure, What the heck it can't hurt. By the way just got a message from SLP, the company that did the Camaro SS and Firehawk, they want to use my C6 for developement work for a new intake package. They used my SS several times for a few items. They will need the car for a few days and it will be on the dyno several times. You also keep whatever upgrades they are working on. I guess it's one of the few benifits of living a couple of miles away from them in Toms River,NJ and knowing Ed hamburger since the 60's. I will post the dyno numbers when I get them.

Thanks! It took a few times but re-indexing did it. Each time i did it the window went a little lower, now it goes all the way down! I sure am glad the door doesn't have to come apart. Have to call my friend to let him know.

My window is about 1/8 in. up when put all the way down. I tried window indexing a few times, but does not go down any further. Not enough of a concern to bring to dealer.
