Stealthboxes released for C6 coupes!
JL Audio Stealthboxes
Its exactly what I've been looking for in terms of a sub box.
Im just wondering how that woofer sounds? Is it a good one? Im not looking to shake the walls in Cuba, but I'd like to be able to listen to music at a decent volume with the top down without the woofer distorting.
Would that be adaptable to work with an 8' W7?

JL knows what they are doing, I had one on my C5 matched with a 250w amp it was perfect with the stock radio/speakers.....
It shouldnt be to expensive

Already have subs - Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1D (in QLogic truck boxes). Wonder if you can get just the boxes, unloaded... Also looks like this is only one box, not both sides.
I recently upgraded the whole system in my '05:
Pioneer AVIC D1
C2RGM24 - Pac Audio Adapter
Inifinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Componant Speakers (doors)
Infinity Kappa 62.7 Coax with 5.25 to 6.25 adapter ring
Inifinty Reference 5761 - 6 Channel (50X4 + 140X2) amp
Inifinity Kappa Perfect 10.1D dual coil subs X 2
Qlogic 10" Truck sub-box X 2
It kicks royal butt (especially compared to the blose system) but I had to go with a rather large pair of truck-box sub enclosures until I can find (or have made) a set of custom boxes to go into the storage compartments. The JL's look like just the ticket, but I really love the way the Infinity subs sound already.

BTW, Repost.
Better to consider an amplified Bazooka around $200-250 shipped. Sounds fine, easy to install and the 6" at least doesnt interfere with the targa top storage. 8" might. The sub can be removed in 30 seconds, since it's strapped in.

Bazooka doesn't even deserve the title of sub. No more than Jensen should be considered car audio.
I been very happy with Bazookas, using them in various vehicles for well over 15 years, and saved a good deal of money, since the Bazooka can be transferred to your next vehicle rather easily. It has a great range of volume and crossover adjustments, so I have been satisfied using the same tube in both a Suburban and a Miata.
Maybe my audio standards are less than yours, but I remain happily content and less poor.
You can't hope to have audiophile quality sound in any automobile, with its crazy and ever changing sound/audio environment. It would be like trying to listen to a Krell/Martin Logan audiophile sytem at home, while playing the Indy 500 race in the background!
Had someone come here & install (you don't think I want to be responsible for frying anything).
Two day job (including dynamatt on the doors and rear/trunk area). Made "plates" for the door speakers. Had to cut/widen the holes for the rears. Essentially pulled the whole interior out; console, seats, rear carpeting, driver/passenger kick panels, rocker trim, etc. (not the dashboard) - not a pretty sight by any stretch.
But nice clean power, and great sound.
Rick
