which red? need help
I see a couple of nice posts under the Q&A but I can't seems to down load the pictures. I am not a computer techie, but I have tried 2 different computers, one through DSL and one through a T1, both with no luck. Also the GM wedsite does not even let you compare colors or see options for interior vs. exterior. Local dealers have no inventory.
So I would appreciate help from the forum, if you have some pictures to compare the 2006 reds, or can link my to a good place. Would like to see the interior options too, black, tan/cashmir, or grey if you have it. Thanks.

You must see any color in person, possibly in daylight. I was fortunately able to look at mag reg and monty red side by side. I went with Monty Red since it appeared a bit more conservative and classy. Here are some pics from the day I brought her home.

This question comes up often and you really need to see the Victory Red and Monterey Red before making a choice on a vehicle you will likely have 3 or more years. The dealer may offer to show you a Malibu or other GM car and say it's the same color, but its color on a Corvette you need to see to get the whole look and feel. Pictures are nice and you can find lots of pictures on the Forum, but it's the difference of looking at a picture of Pamela Anderson and being with her - it's a different feel. I see you are in CO and may have trouble finding a dealer with inventory, but it is worth the time and cost to drive/fly to a dealer that has inventory or find folks nearby with an 06 in each color. I have the Monty Red but I'm on the East Coast; consider a visit to the Museum and hope there is one of each set up for delivery...there was the day I got mine.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

of you who were lucky enough to get a mag red.

And preferrably in different lighting conditions...it changes completely.
Link is to great pics of a Monterey Red/Cash convertible (not ours). We bought a MR/Cash/Bl because the black top was more subdued than tan. See a MR/Tan car, you see the top first IMHO. Black top highlights the car rather than competing with it. MR is a little more subtle than Victory Red, VR is a more traditional in your face Corvette. At the end of the day, Corvettes should be red.

Monterey Red for '06 is a $750 option, V Red is no extra cost. And I agree with other posts, for vettes, the reds are beautiful colors.
I ordered a Monterey Red coupe because the color was so striking in the daylight. The pics posted here are beautiful and you'll find the color gets better. I don't know if I've ever seen a MR Vette look bad in any light.
There are many posts with pics....try doing a search on Monterey Red or Victory Red in this Gen'l Disc forum and mayber you'll be able to load a pic eventually.
Aren't we fortunate to be able to discuss this stuff?
Pray for our troops.
Best of Luck
