Default Wart Curiosity
I'm just curious as to why gm painted the warts on verts to match, but didnt on coupes!

Anyone know?

This was based upon focus groups of previous corvette owners. The coupe group liked the black and the vert group liked the color matched.

I bet because in the Vert the wart is always right there in the rear view mirror when the top is down reminding you they are there. In the coupes they are hidden to any one in the car so you tend to forget about them...

I've heard that it was because of the way it looks from the outside. Having a black shark fin on the top of the coupe's b-pillar looked better than having a body colored shark fin. Having a body colored shark fin on the trunk of verts looked better than having a black fin on the trunk of verts. But these are just various people's opinions.

Access to the antenna probably has something to do with it . Look how much work it is remove the antenna from a Coupe compared to a 'Vert.
