Got the car back from the dealer yesterday. The Xzilon paint treatment is nice stuff! The finish on the car looks like the surface of a gloss black ceramic tile. No swirl, hard as granite, and slicker than Bill Clinton's............ cigar Guaranteed to last 5 years. We'll see?
I would like to see an independent scientific lab test all the various waxes under various conditions for several months and longer to see what really works. Consumers Reports would be the best for this kind of test. I haven't seen any recent testing of waxes, however.

I hope you didn't spend much on it... this is likely a scam. No coating or treatment, short of plastic film like Xpel, lasts that long. Anyway, how you know it's "hard"? What was your criteria?

I would like to publicly thank all of my "friends" that sent me PMs and emails with suggestions about how I might answer my question above. Thank you so much. :o
Their "5 year guarantee" is just 5 years of free re-application. If you read the terms of their contract you'll also notice the "5-year guarantee" is void if you use any compounds, polishes, other sealants or waxes, or use a rotary or PC on your cars paint.
The car smelled like some type of solvent had been around the car when I picked it up. I used the ol' 'finger nail' method of tapping on the paint (Yea...I know), but, hey, I'm a happy guy. I will read their guanantee, but as of right now, this car's paint looks amasing. We'll see if it lasts as advertised.
