Default Bullets vs GHL with headers!!

I HAD the B&B route 66 along with my LG headers, X pipe and high flow cats. It was to quiet for me so I traded a friend who had B&B bullets. Now the car sounds mean as HELL but the interior drone is unbearable. I've heard that the GHL sounds just as good but has alomost NO drone at all. Can anyone verify this?

Default Drone or no drone

I have GHL's on my '06 vert A6. There is a tiny, tiny bit of what I call drone in several gears untill the exhaust warms up. After about 10 min of driving, it sounds fantastic. Damn gas milage went to hell in a hand basket real quick though. I have more darn fun ripping the A6 up and down through the gears now. GHL makes two different exhaust systems for the C6 now based on if you have an M6 or, a A6. And, that may change to after I get my car to Mesa, AZ so that Brian and Jeff can hear the A6 vert exhaust on the car first hand.

Default GHL on 2005 A4 C6 Vert

I put GHL on my wifes 2005 A4 C6 vert. We do get some drone from 1500 rpm - 1800 rpm -- -- we didnt experience this with stock system.

Overall at idle, mid and WOT we get that great muscle car sound we wanted.

You won't get any drone with the stock mufflers. That's how restrictive they are. Find the thread by David Farmer where he posts pictures of a cut open C6 muffler. Yuck ! Regarding your drone problem, call Brian at GHL and advise him of this. The call is free ! 877-930-0911
I know from talking with him that he has re worked the exhaust for the A6 so that it is different from the one for the M6. There may be a fix for your A4. Ultimately, there may have to be an exhaust for the four different C6 configurations.

OK, I ordered the GHL today. I'm hoping that it will be more tolerable in the cabin than the Bullets are. If so, I'll have a set of B&B Bullets for sale.

Bullets always seem to sound better on the outside of the car than they do on the inside.

Jster171, just make sure to hook up with Brian at GHL so he knows what configuration C6 you have. That way you end up with a built to order exhaust tailored to your car

I may be the exception but I love my bullets! The drone occurs at 2150rpm till about 2500rpm. This is no problem on long trips with the M6.
