Out with the old and in with the new...Both are great, But whats the cost factor Im sure the C6 Z51 will be the better buy

I had the same choice, 03 Z06 or my 05 C6. Had I not looked at the C6 and went through with the purchase of the Z, I'm sure I would have been happy. My wife convinced me to check out the new ones though, and I was sold. However, having a dealer down the street that had the Z was a good bargaining tool at the dealer I bought the new one from. I got 2 phone calls from them sweetening the deal when I told them I had to go look at the Z a 2nd time before deciding!

If anyone is interested below are the results from the 3 polls I posted....

C5 general......77 votes for C6 and 43 votes for C5 Z06
C6 general......161 votes for C6 and 4 votes for C5 Z06
Z06vette.com......7 votes for C6 and 44 votes for C5 Z06

total....245 for C6 and 91 for the Z06....interesting results and as it was brought up in one of the forums...it may come down to which I fit in with a helmet on. I barely fit in my old Z with a helmet so Im headed down to the local dealer right now, helmet in hand to see if I fit in the new car. Could be the deciding factor

well, it officially doesnt matter....went to look at C6s at my local dealer today and sat in a C6 back to back with a C5....I dont fit in the damn C6.....there isnt enough leg room side to side for my long legs, and there isnt enough head room for me with my helmet on. Guess its a done deal...another C5 Z for me which is unfortunate because the C6 has really grown on me and I was looking forward to owning my first brand new car
