My car was born on 1/11/06, was picked up by Allied in BG on the 13th, and about 2 hours ago, I got off the phone with my dealer, who tells me that my car arrived this morning at 10 at my local dealership. That was lightning fast !!!!!! Even my Sales man said, that in his 13 years of selling and ordering cars, he has never seen one move so fast ......I told him it was meant to be in any case, it will has to get PDI'd and paperwork has to be done, and so forth....the appointment for me to pick up my car is on Monday afternoon. So now, to all of you who have went through this before, I am sure you can imagine what I am feeling like right now. To top it off, I have to pass the dealership, where my baby is now, every day on my way to and from work.....looks like I will be making a pit stop on my way home tonight I will post pictures as soon as she is home. I wanted to thank each end every one of you for all the advice, input and comments, and words of encouragement during the what I thought to be tortureous time, after the ordering, the acceping by GM, the codes, and so on....looking at it now, a month later, this was nothing compared to it being down the street from my house....I can look, but I can't touch I feel like surgically attaching myself to it
Well, I guess I have a few more days to practice my wave Thanks to everybody for all your help, and I will post again soon.

 

Wow thats fast???Mine was born May4th & was in N.W.Phoenix on May 12th..Congratulations on a great ride.

 

I think Allied must have been speeding to make it here (Virginia) in two days from KY.......wonder if they drove her here ??

My DSOM CPE was built on the 13th and arrived at my dealer in PA on the 16th got to see it in its diaper, had to leave on a 4 day trip with my airline and won't see it again until the 21st when I take my baby home

 

I don't think they drove her...just used her motor to break it in for you...

 

Congrats on the arrival. KY and VA border eachother. I can see two days...possibly one.

 

Mine was built on 12/09 (Friday) and arrived in Grapevine Texas on 12/13 (Tuesday).

I was very surprised.

 

Fast for me, too. Built on 1/10, arrived at Kerbeck in NJ yesterday, 1/16.

Mine came off the assembly line Friday, 12/16/05, released to Allied Monday or Tuesday, and was delivered to my dealer in Grapevine Thursday morning 12/22/05, 4 weekdays after it was born.

 

Your car was delivered to the dealer today and you're waiting till next Monday to take delivery?? I know a guy here in CA who took delivery the same afternoon as the truck dropped it. Mine was delivered to a central depot on a Tuesday morning and I picked it up from the dealer on Thursday, and the salesman came in from his sickbed at home to complete the sale. How 'bout lighting a fire under the dealer and getting it before the weekend? TWhy be deprived? There's not a lot to do to get it prepped.

 

I agree! I prepped most of my mine at the dealership right after I watched Allied back it of the carrier. Took about an hour to get it ready to go. Then spent 5 hours at the house detailing it my way

 

 

I was told that the car got to the local dealership so fast, GM didn't even have time to send the Certificate of Origin to the dealer I bought it from....so it is all a matter of paperwork. Between the local dealer doing all the paperwork, and DMV stuff, well, they told me it will be more like Tuesday or Wednesday next week before I get to take her home. I went by there yesterday afternoon on my way home, to take a peek WOW ...is all I have to say. She is beautiful, and the paint, I don't think is dry yet In any case, I went by there again this morning, on my way to work, and they moved her from the outsiede to the inside, good thing, since it rained here last night. Someone asked me if I wanted to sell her while I was at the dealership...kind of funny but I declined politely The wait continues............................... .....
