the dealers complained there were 2 dark reds, precision and magnetic red and they wanted a bright red like the torch red that GM did away with in 2005 so the came out with victory red.

When it first came out most people didn't like it and preferred the old torch red. Personally it is my favorite red and would have been the color I ordered had it been available when I placed the order.

The reason they didn't keep torch red for the C6 was supposedly that someone at GM decided it didn't show the lines well on the C6.

Having seen the only Torch Red C6 I would agree. However it looks great on the C5.

Default In a heartbeat!

I bought a Victory Red 2006 but Torch Red was what I really wanted. I think it looks great! Thanks for posting that pic. My 1995 that I sold to buy my 2006 was Torch Red. I love that color!

Precision Red is the best looking color on the C6 so far IMO.... wish I could have ordered mine with it. But I got the next best thing, Machine Silver...... which is faster anyway so I don't feel too bad.

If you have a chance to get a nice PR car go for it. I love mine. I have had more positive feedback on this color than any I have ever owned. It is stunning. I bought an early car #2046 because I wanted this color. It was used in all the early C6 promos and ads. Picture under my signature.
