Does any body have any info on if I put a skip shift block out, to get rid of the 1st to 4th gear skip, if I will void the warranty on the car? It would be my luck to have something so insignificant for a few bucks to be used as a way out for the dealer to not honor the warranty if anything should happen to the engine or trans.
I asked the dealer, and all 3 service writers had different opinions!

Modifications can't legally void a warranty unless the modification has something to do wth the problem. Since skip shifting is rougher on the powertrain than normal shifting, they should be thanking you.
That said, if they want to give you a hard time over it (very unlikly for a CAGS) they could cause you some extra fighting for your coverage. If in doubt, take the CAGS out if you have drive train problems. Personally, I wouldn't bother taking it out if I had a problem.
If your dealer is a real Richard Cranium, you might choose to do differently.
It's plug and play, so take five minutes to remove it if you are worried about it.
Yes.... that's what's nice about the kits sold by the forum vendors... you can just unplug and remove them in minutes if you want or need to... and then put back just as fast. But as long as you do not have any problems specifically with your tranny (or related), I doubt the dealer mechanics would ever even notice the CAGS eliminator mod... and even if they did, I doubt they'd even bother mentioning it to the service writer. It's not a problem... go ahead and install it.
If you can find a cool dealer, things like this aren't a prob. If you can spring for it, let them do the install and they usually won't give you a hard time about it unless it is truley a problem.

Seems it was installed as a gas saving measure. Can't imagine you damaging anything in its absense.
My dealer installed my Cags and B&M stick in my C5. Those things will not/ should not be a problem anywhere.
A H&C, supercharger ,NOS you had better have a real good dealer friend.

Yup.........be on good terms with your tech at the dealer.....give him the module when the car is up on the rack for whatever and you're done! Stay with that dealer and warranty will never be a question!

I never have the 1 to 4 Light come on. Guess that means I am driving OK.
