Florida is a one plate state. I don't understand unless it's for cheap advertising. Look at how many of Roger's Corvettes C5 and C4 cars have the plate cover missing and his ad tag in their place.
My guess is these two cars were DX cars from a dealer who is in a two plate state. I was very lucky and my dealer called me when the Allied truck arrived. I rushed right up there and captured it (front license provision) before it went into pre-delivery. Thankfully he does not stock them. I have ordered an aluminum one and will decide once it arrives?
I never thought I'd say this but the C4/C5's front plate recess with its painted filler was integrated better.
I kept my front plate mounted to the car and applied some Velcro to the bottom lip of the filler plate. If I got stopped I could easily remove and uncover the plate, or if I needed to display the plate I could and when I got to my destination like a car show/parade etc I just popped on the filler plate.
The factory plate holder will NEVER touch my C6. I may investigate some of the aftermarket mounting solutions, but the factory design is just LAME.
Sometimes They Buy Cars out of State from other dealers that have cars on there lot..zthey Trade up for Trucks and other Cars so the Corvette doesnt have to sit in the SNow...Thats what they told me when i Asked..
