I am thinking about buying a C6 Coupe. The C5 and C6 coupes that I have driven have a lot of wind noise in my left ear when the roof is open with the windows up or down.
From reading postings, the solution appears to be a Windjammer and/or a hatch vent. But I think the hatch vents make the car look dorky. The C4 looks OK with the hatch vent (since the hatch is all glass) but the C5/C6 coupes look like the hatch has sprung open.
Has anyone tried a shortened hatch vent adapter that is more like 1/2 inch open or maybe found a way to vent the hatch through to bottom of the trunk area?
It sure would have been nice if Chevy had figured this out. I mean the C5s have been around since 97.
I agree they look stupid. Plus doesn't every loose bit in the back get sucked out? I just put up with the wind. It is not nearly as bad as the old "wind in the face - rain in the ear" English cars like Triumphs and MGs that I used to drive.
