I must have screwed up in my reply. It depends on the media type that was burned to the disk. I did it with windows type and would not play. Then I downloaded ITunes 6 for free and burned it and it worked perfect. You see a different icon when Itunes does it and that must be the difference. I had Roxio software on my computer that did not work. I thought the same thing at first that I had a problem when it did not play my MP3 and that same MP3 plays in my other car but the player in that other car id an Alpine.

I had exactly the same problem I thought it did not update. Here is what I found out. I asked everyone that knew anything about MP3 disks and all said it was just a data CD with MP3 files on it . I even had them make disks and show me they played in an MP3 player. I would take it out to my car and the disk wouldn't play. Finally I made a disk with iTunes that worked. The secret was to make sure the disk was recorded as an MP3 disk. There is a checkbox in iTunes that is under EDIT/Preferences/advanced/burning that makes them MP3 disks and now it works perfectly.
