Default Seat Covers

Last year "neoprine" was the popular item to protect the seats. Is that still the case or is there something better?

I don't know if I would do that I was thinking about covers like sheepskin but it might interfere with airbag deployment.

Follow grandma's lead and use clear vinyl slip covers. That way you at least get to see the leather wearing out under the cover, even if you don't get to actually sit on it. IMHO, seatcovers are something you add to the car after the original upholstery has worn out. It will, covered or not, so you might as well enjoy it to the fullest as long as you can before covering it up.

I have another old car 18 years young and the seats are brand new no wear.

NOT REALLY !

Had sheepskins on a 1988 MB 300CE AMG "Hammer" for fifteen years. Took them off three years ago and the palomino leather interior is as new even today. Any seat cover will protect leather primarily from the effects of the sun, limits drying out of the hide and UV deterioration. I'll bet your grandma's couch upholstery didn't wear out with the clear slip covers !!!

I have neoprene covers from coverking through a sponsor of this forum (pfyc). I have a DSOM with cashmere int. I ordered two-tone covers, black outers with tan inserts. I'm very happy with them. They feel great and will look good with ebony mats.

I have the titanium shade so I'm looking for something to protect the leather but also keep it clean. Vinyl would work but I dont think I could do that...
