I love the way the Converts. look with the top down but i dont care for all that wind in my face, So i put my deposit on the 07 Z06 more for the better looks than the Coupe/Convert. than for performance.
When GM first showed the C-6 coupe I like it over the C-5 BUT i new if GM had just tweaked with the body just a little bit more they would of NAILED it.
Well when GM unveild the 06 Z06 I said my PRAYERS have been answered, Every area that i did not like on the Coupe/Convert was addressed.
1. 3.3 inches wider at the front&rear fenders ( Awesome )
2. 1.0 inch more front bumper overhang ( AWESOME )
3. Popout side vents with BADGES as i have been a big fan of the Z-51 Badges ( AWESOME )
4. Wider open mouth at the front just like the C6R ( AWESOME )
5. 427 / 7.0 liter 505HP ( AWESOME )
you love mad power but the z06 would just be intimidating ?
if expensiver doesn't matter then go for the z06, it's betterer
i mean that no one will want to mess around on the streets...everyone seems to think they can take my c5

VERY GOOD POINTS...if i got the vert i think id have to replace all the fenders...but i think replacing the engine and swaping it for a z06 would be too much of a money waster...the z06 converted to a convertable or the other way around would also add up over my budget.
where i live, they have installed tons of red light cameras all over the place... i had an e55 mercedes, and all i did was get tickets in the mail.. it was really aggravating... i sold the e55 and then looked at the new c6. i wondered which i would like better also. the convertible or the z06. I think i would get into serious trouble with the z06. But im sure that i would enjoy just cruising in the convertible on a nice day.. There is something wonderful about a beautiful day with the top down that cant be matched with the coupe. Went for the convertible with magnetic ride control, and loaded. With four hundred horsepower its enough these days. And if you really wanted to get into trouble, you easily could. Convertibles make you feel more alive.
In my opinion there is no wrong choice. If I had lots of $$ I'd probably want to have both, but for me it's got to be a convertable. I'm getting Z51 and MN6 plus planning mods to increase performance, so that will do it for me!
Ya already got the verts, so get the z06. Can't live without a vert, I admit that. So now, the next one is a z06. Your viper is sweeeeet!
thanks on the compliments...the thing is the vipers more of a weekend sunny day driver for us...the vette i drive everyday i don't know this is really confusing...a dealer down here is going to be getting 3 z06s in 10 days (called me just a few hours ago to let me know about this) so im going to go down and have a look at the z06 and see how it looks in person compared to a convertable
