I had the update done to listen to MP3's and something happened to my unit. My nav no longer recognizes a North heading. North is locked and pointing to the driver’s side of the vehicle. My dealer could not fix it and ordered me a new radio and antenna. The parts arrived yesterday and the dealer installed them and the unit is doing the same thing it was doing before the new parts were installed. I have tried resetting everything, calibrating the unit and the dealer even hooked up the "tech 2" and can not seem to repair it. The technician will be calling the technical hot line tomorrow and I hope they can come up with a fix.
I thought I remember reading a post somewhere that by pushing a corner of the nav screen for an extended time causes some sort of reset or information message screen to appear. Can someone help me with that? Thanks.
On the Nav screen, touch Menu, Navigation Setup, Calibration, Adjust Position. That might do it. It might also help to calibrate the mirror compass and make sure the zone is correct.
When you update the NAV software, it resets to the first USA region, I live in Canada, so I had to scroll down to my region before my NAV system would properly function again, so make sure you have your proper region set!
