You "think"? What you think is wrong if you get a Colgan.
Colgan or any other brand, unless you like the covered look, why would you cover a beautiful front of a car with black/color matched bra. I would rather not put anything instead mess up the look on day one.
This reminds me of something my great-grandmother used to do. She would cover her sofa in plastic to "keep it like new". Meanwhile, we had to sit on plastic every day that sofa was in her house. Not very appealing to the eyes or our backsides.
IMO... Forget the bra. They are ugly. If you get a little paint chip, touch it up. No big deal.

I can easily tolerate the colored Colgan "covered look", but I must say that I certainly don't like the look of my C6 front end when it looks like I have been hit with a load of birdshot. I have had that problem with other cars that were perfect in every other way, except the front end looked like ****.
Colgan does an excellant job of protecting the front of the C6 and the Colgan colored bra is the best of the bunch. Flapping is no problem, I have had my C6 up to 130 mph on the track, it is solid and tight.
I have a mil yellow C6 with the Colgan colored bra, I get a lot of compliments about the car, and most of those people also mention that the bra looks great and is practically unnoticeable unless you get real close.
If you own a "garage queen" you can forget about the bra.
This bra topic comes up again and again. Below I have cut and pasted a reply that I put together a few weeks ago. A lot of people may disagree but it reflects my experience and conclusions. Here it is:
I have been waiting for someone to bring up this topic. Everyone says that you should take the bra off when it becomes wet. Let me give you a minority opinion that a lot of people will violently disagree with. I take my car bra off once a year, and if it gets wet I don't worry about it. If the braa gets wet in the summer it dries on the car in the sun. Many will cring in horror at that statement.
I have used Colgan bras exclusively on my 1985 red 911 Carrera, my 1995 red C4, my seal gray 2003 Boxster S and my mil yellow C6. I have always put on several coats of Zaino (now I use Rejex) before installing the bra.
This has been my normal procedure for the last 10+ years. What damage have I found as a result of this reckless behavior? Absolutely none. When the Porsche 911 and the C4 were sold (911 in 2003 after 15 years of ownership and the C6 in 2005 after 10 years) the front ends were immaculate, no scratches, paint fading, blotches or spots. Absolutely like brand new.
I usually remove the bra every year just before winter starts to clean up the front and give it a new coat of Zaino or Rejex. I last did that in early Novembe, 2005.
After one year, the front of the Boxster was perfect, and after an intense inspection I found absolutely no scratches or paint fade. In fact there was little dirt caught under the bra, and that was after one year and about 5,000 miles. The next job was to remove the bra on the C6. The result was exactly the same, but that was after only 7 months and 4000 miles. There was surprisingly little dirt caught under the bra of the Boxster or the C6. Most of it was down low on the front end beneath the grille opening. Incidently, I continue to drive all my cars in the winter. Here in Chicago my cars experience slush, light snow and freezing cold. They are only put away when we get more than a light snow.
What do I make of all this? Well the Colgan bras is one of the best fitting bras made and the surface that contacts the paint is a soft flannel. Because of that and my experience, I don't worry about dirt getting caught underneath and scratching the paint, it just has not happened on any of my cars, and I have been doing this for 10+ years.
Many just don't like bras on cars, would never use them, and would never do what I do, but that is a seperate issue.
I would add two cautions about this procedure: (1.) it is absolutely necesary to have a well fitting bra like the Colgan. I have had other bras (especially on the C4) that were not tight enough and a lot of dirt collected under the bra. In my view the Colgan is a great product, could be the best. (2.) My cars are always garaged. They do not normally sit outside in the sun when they are not used. Also, the sun does not always shine brightly here in Chicago.
I would suspect that if you do what I do in a part of the country where the sun always shines, and the car is outside much of the time, you will likely get some paint fade on the non bra protected area and the difference could be noticeable.
I expect to get hammered on this post by all those who hate car bras and by those who believe "old wives" tales about removing a wet car bra. I can only relate my experiences. I suspect that The bra mfgs recommend removing a wet bra because it absolves them of liability should someone claim damage. It can't hurt to play it safe these days when lawsuits are running rampant.
I've had a Colgan bra on my 02 C4S and left it on for about 5 months. When I took it off, the entire area that was covered looked light silver w/ whitish blots on it. I initially thought it was just water spots, but it wouldn't polish it off. I then brought it to the dealer and they referred me to EMC. When I spoke to them, the first thing they asked was whether I had a bra on there. They basically said that rain or car wash fluid left to soak under the leather will do that and is quite common.
I really like the Colgan. Also Speed Lingerie (what I have on my car) is excellent but expensive. Perfect color match for victory red. you can see pics at my web page. No you don't want it on all the time - the paint is too beautiful to hide. But for any long trips, or especially in winter with all the cinders on the road, you really have to have one of these
I don't like bra's either. But I use one on my 02 Camaro and C6 for long trips. If you get a good bra it will not mark or damage the front end. I have a Cover Craft for the SS and Colgan for the C6. Haven't had any problems with either one.

Actually I totally agree with you. Had a Mitsu 3000GT 10 years, and basically NEVER took it off. Garaged at night, but often parked all day in the sun - never cared whether it was wet or not. Paint was PERFECT after 10 years of this. Now even on the Vette, I don't make a fuss to remove the bra if it get's wet. I'm with you all the way.
