Has anyone installed the GM Disc changer in a vert yet? If so could you post photos and give your opinion of it's worth. I'm thinking about ordering it and having it installed when the car arrives at the dealer.
I ordered one from Tom at Fichtner just before Christmas. I installed it in about two hours and it works great. I don't have any pictures but it fits in the left rear trunk compartment and you can't see it unless you open the compartment door.
I have one installed in my 05 coupe. It works great! It does not play MP3's. I already had the unit when the nav cd fix appeared. I have made lots of MP3 disc's since then. I bought an extra cartridge from GM Parts for road trips. I still like loading up a cartridge for road trips. I have over 400 cd's and there is no way I will ever make enough MP3 disc's to have on board.
The cd changer integrates well with the nav screen display. It also has a "Random All" function. It will play songs from all 6 disc's in random order. I'm glad I installed mine. I think it should have been offered from the beginning of the 05 model year.
The directions came with instructions for mounting it in a vert, so I know it will work in them.
