Was fine for me. Wasn't the kind of place were you'd want to spend a fancy vacation but it is walking to museum and very convenient to all. Your mind won't be on what kind of bed you are sleeping on anyway it will be waiting for the seat that your butt will be attached to the next day and the smile that will be on your face.
Is the "recommended" Hampton Inn (evidently, right next to the museum) a good choice to stay over? At $110/night, seems kind of high...
1) The Hampton Inn isnt right next door, its about 6-7 miles down the road.
2) $110 night??? The jacked up rate there during the Forum Cruise-In is only $89. I cant figure out why it would be $110 now. Did you mention to them that you were doing Museum Delivery? You will get a discount for that. Its a decent hotel, nothing at all to complain about. I would stay there for my NCM delivery on 2/22 but they are all booked up for some reason.
The Inn right next to the museum is the Country Hearth Inn....Not a bad place and you can't beat the location....!! Get the jacuzzi suite...nice and relaxing...!!

The Continental Inn is next to the plant @ $55/night. Not a four star but it is clean and has a restaurant next door. The museum is across the street. I'm staying there Sunday and Monday for my delivery on Monday. I had a suite at the Best Western BG for $110/night last year.

Is that the one right there on Corvette Drive leading back to the Museum? Or is it across the street on the plant side of the road?
I need to find a hotel there that can hold a Ford Excursion and a 32' enclosed trailer without being too tight. I'm not the best when it comes to backing a trailer so I prefer something wide open.
I'm going to the plant next week to watch my car get built so I plan on scouting the area then to make up my mind. The Hampton and Baymont are out of the question because they would be tough to maneuver in.
The price must have gone up at the Hampton. I just paid 95-dollars including all taxes on Jan 6th.
I believe it was 85+ Tax.
Another thing to consider is they have a nice complementary breakfast there.
And it’s better then just pastry & cereal. There are many “hot” items.
You can POWER LOAD at 6:30AM and get through the entire delivery day with a big FREE breakfast.
Compare that to a breakfast at Denny’s for 10-15 bucks each.
The wireless internet in the room was nice too.
No complicated wires or software to load.
Just open up your laptop, chose the network and type in the password they give you and you’re up and running in a few minutes.

This sounds like a possibility. Close and cheap. By the way, I'm surprized nobody said..."your spending 50k on a car and your looking to save 50 bucks!!?"
You’re trailering it from KY to Ohio ???
Why not drive? Doesn’t sound all that far to me.
I drove 750-miles back to PA with mine.
Snow, salt, sand, gravel. Those are the "reasons" off the top of my head, I'm sure I can think of more. I'm really just hesitant to drive the car if the weather is nasty at all.
At this point, I'm thinking its about 99.9% sure that I am trailering it. If there is a freakishly nice stretch of weather, then my plans may change. Its never a bad thing to be prepared.

It is only a 10 minute drive to the museum anyway.
Plus, the college (W. Ky. Univ. "Hilltoppers") has a decent b-ball team, check them out if you are a fan. (I am not. If I am going to watch guys in shorts running back and forth for two hours, there's gotta be something in it for me other than the chance to get beaten up by one of the players.)

FWIT the Continental Inn is where Allied parks their rigs before they hit the road. Plenty of room for your rig. They are on the plant side of the road. After you exit and go under the overpass they're on your right.
We stayed at the Hampton in December for our NCM delivery. The Museum folks said to be sure to ask them at the Hampton for the NCM discount. We did, and paid, as I recall, about $89.00. So if you didn't mention the Museum, talk to Hampton again. Enjoy your delivery.

No, I didnt do that. For what its worth, major negative posts regarding the continental Inn on tripadvisor.com. Looks like the hampton inn will be it. Thanks for the posts!
Sorry I can't recall the place I stayed but it was nice, clean, and $39. Right next to a roadhouse with good beer and lots of activity. About 1 exit Sout of the gate.
