Has anyone used anything to attempt to protect their tan vert top? I was thinking Scothguard might be appropriate.

Thoughts?

There are some vert top treatments that do a good job of protecting a top. Rag Top (sp) and Aerospace 303's top treatment are both good. They make water bead up and stuff not stick to the fabric as easily.

It sure works great on carpet and mats and also on the cloth seat material on my new Crown Vic company car......but not sure about vert top material which is exposed to the elements......

I don't know anything about verts. But I would play it safe and buy a product designed for the application such as those listed above. You never know, scotchgard may do strange things when UV light hits it, or when it bakes in the sun (these are just hypothetical examples) whereas the products above would have been designed with those things in mind.
