I have noticed that on posts where pictures are included that the numbers on the license plates on most of them are unreadable. Is this done using photo editing software before you post the photos or are you folks using some sort of anti-photo application on the plates that produces the effect for all cameras? If the latter is true, would you care to share the specific product?

photo editing most people do it because we are paranoid about releasing personal information on the web

I think most everyone doing this is using photo editing software like Photo Shop. I can't afford buying it for the limited use I would have for it, so I downloaded and installed a FREE program that does many of the same things, called GIMP, which you can look at here: http://www.gimp.org

I tried their newest version with my WinXP laptop, but it kept freezing and just annoying me, so I installed ver. 1.2 (look for "old" version) and it works just fine: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/old.html

It has both a blur and a smudge tool, as well as an airbrush where you can select any color you want. Pretty neat, and free is FREE!

Thank you all. I have the software and the knowledge to make the changes. I was just hoping that the photoblock that I have seen or something like it could be used to block the automatic cameras out in the cold cruel world.
