Anyone know if jacking pucks are required on the C6.

You risk damage if you jack the car from that point and don't use them. The C5 pucks work fine.

Thanks. I figured that much. They are good insurance against damage. Was just wondering if anyone and how many readers jack without pucks.

Well, I jack using little blocks of wood that act like pucks. My goal is to keep the metal from the jack away from the plastic sides of the car. The wood block just acts as a spacer.

I personally jack without them, only because of my laziness in not buying them yet. Then again, I watch what I'm doing.

A dealer on the other hand might not be as careful as you and I would.

You can use just about anything, wood, hockey puck etc, etc. it's just to act as a spacer so the jack does not come into contact with the bottom of the car. I have 2 jacks and with one, I need the spacer, and with the other I do not. Just be careful and pay attention and you will be ok.

Hockey pucks work just fine & they're just 99 cents in most sporting goods stores...

For the very small expense of picking up some pucks, why take any chance at all of damaging your car. You can make these things yourself if you want to do all the running around to the various stores or you can pick them up all the time on ebay.

I have a set like these and they work great. My buddy uses some of these on his C5. Check the link below.
