I went to see the color combinations at two dealers in Texas to make my decision to get a Monterrey Red vert with Cashmere interior and top. The ONLY way to be sure of what you want is to see the colors in person on a bright cloudless day. Mine will be ready for Museum Delivery about the first of March.
I ordered velocity yellow. chevy likes that color because of its striking good looks. yes, it does tell the world here i am. but why not when you're driving a C6. have had vettes in white, black and red. white was the easiest, black was cool for 10 sec. and red was great as well. loved the mont. red. it was my second choice if i waived when it came time to order. as it is, i'm very excited to be getting Vel. yellow. produced on 1-31, should be here in 2-3 weeks. Can't wait. good luck with your choice. if you have a dog, lay the color chart on the floor, put a dog biscut next to each one and the one he eats first is your choice" why not!
Another reason for buying the "extra cost" colors such as monterey red is because the paint and clear coat are heavier (thus the exta cost) and much less likely to have orange peel.
My '96 LT4, which I had for 5 1/2 years was black and I just about went nuts trying to keep it looking right. My new one, when it arrives, is monterey red w/titanium.
