Default Manaul vs auto sound difference

Curious if anyone notices this....I have manual and father has automatic...my car when you shift through gears growls....great sound and everyone that has been in the car loves the sound....my fathers in automatic doesnt seem to make the same noise when stepping on car...anyone notice this or feel the same...dont get me wrong his sounds good but it doesnt sound the same and it is definately noticeable.

Yes, I have one of each. The MN6 rocks. Much more aggressive sound.

The higher the RPMs at shift points the louder/better the sound. Are you sure both cars are hitting the same RPMs as they shift through the gears? The auto usually shifts earlier unless you are manually shifting it. Same engine - should sound the same if RPMs are equal...

The A would have to manually shift to get the RPM sound of M-6
