Default C5 & C6 differences between years?

I can't find a good site that lists all the differences between the years. Any suggestions?

When the '06's were just coming out, there were several threads on this. You may find what you want under Frequently Asked Questions.

Basically though, the differences that I'm aware of were the new 3-spoke steering wheel, the A6 trans., crome rings around the climate controls and I think that they eliminated the need to shift the 6M into reverse when you park your car. Good luck.

Your post is unclear. Were you asking about the difference between a C5 and a C6, or were you asking about ALL the differences between each year of C5 and each year of C6?

Sir your post is just a little confusing. Do you want the difference between the different models C5 and C6 or the difference between the years of the C6 2005 and 2006?

Sorry, I guess it was confusing. I want all the individual model year differences ... to make an informed buying decision on buying a used Vette.

Short answer: A C6 Z51 is virtually equivalent in performance to a C5 Z06. So go to the C5 Z06 section and read the FAQ sticky at the top, it will inform you of all the upgrades of the C5 Z06 over the C5.
The C6 is an evolution of the C5. Almost identical frames, suspension, etc. the dimensions have changed some. The LS2 is an evolution of the LS1/6.
So pick the style you like, the money you can spend, and if you want the newest or not. They are both great cars!

A question for you sir, how much do you know about the C5? If you knew it in and out, then all you need to read is this about the C6.

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...5/sequel1.html

If you are not familiar with the C5 then at the above place find C5 articles to understand how great the new engineering is of the hydroformed rails, the engine, and suspension. C6 articles will not touch on this because the C6 is an evolution of the C5, but the C5 was a revolution over the C4 and the articles went in depth on the new engineering.

If you look at my ID you would see that I was once a C5 owner My profile indicates that I am now a C6 owner. However, "he who dies with the most toys wins" So I'm considering purchasing a beater Corvette to mod the hell outta. (I'm sure I'll get flak for that statement)

I want to know details like ... when did they add Active Handling standard to the C5? When was the HUD available as an option? Did they beef up the rear-end of the C6 mid-2005 or is it only a 2006 feature?

I guess I'm naive as I expected there was a site that specifically listed the improvements or modifications between years?

I think corvetteactioncenter.com can answer those questions.

Most of that information is available in the Corvette Black Book that several forum accessory sponsors sell.

EDIT: Second-generation Active Handling was standard with all 2001 models, per the above-mentioned black book. HUD was available as an option in the 1999 model.
