After 8 months and 12500 miles I have my first problem with the C6. Actually it's only a flat tire due to a nail being stuck in it. Took it to the local Chevy dealer and the only guy that they trust to work on Corvettes was extremely busy and wouldn't be able to get to it until 3 or 4 in the afternoon so my husband (who is retired and has been chosen as the one to take it in when it has to be worked on) had to make an appointment for tomorrow morning.
The dealer has had to buy too many Corvette wheels so they just don't let any of the other technicians work on them or so that is what they told my husband.
Why not take the car to a Goodyear Tire dealer ? They would have the experience to handle this. You could also call your local tire dealers and see if they have the equipment for repairing runflats. I can't see making two trips to a dealer for something so trivial as a tire repair.
Did you catch the fact that the husband is retired. He really doesn't mind. Secondly, I bought the extended warranty and have had problems with that before so I am not taking any chances for the dealer to say that because I had it done somewhere else that is the reason the battery is dead. Might sound funny but they told my husband (different dealer) that his engine problems might have to do with the fact that he changed out the wheels and tires. We thought that was pretty stupid but they were very serious. Hence the reason I didn't take it to that particular dealer.
The tire are warranted by Goodyear, not by Chevy. Take your car to an EMT authorized Goodyear Dealer and the repair or replacement will probably be free, Depends on mileage and wear for free replacement.
The same thing happened to my Father's C5, Goodyear replaced the tire but charged him $500 for the replacement! Then he wrote a complaint to goodyear and they sent a check in the mail for the $500. They surprised me

The Goodyear warranty is good for 12 months or 2/32" of treadwear, whichever comes first. If the tires have 12,500 miles, they're very close to the 2/32" of tread gone.
Generally speaking, it would still be better going to a GoodYear store if you have one near you.

I appreciate the suggestions but my husband has already made the appointment with the dealer and I would rather let the dealership mess up the car if that is what happens to occur. I would rather they mess it up instead of somebody else at a tire shop. Call me paranoid but I don't have very good luck when it comes to warranties on vehicles and so I stick to the dealer until the warranty runs out whether the part is covered or not. I would rather be safe than sorry.
