After dreaming about owning a Corvette all my life (I'm 59), I finally took the plunge on a 2005 C6 a little over a year ago. It's been a great car -- comfortable on road trips, super in the curves, and powerful enough to pass safely where I wouldn't try it in another car. Reliability has been perfect, after 15 months and 11,000 miles.
I highly recommend a visit to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. We went to the C5/C6 Bash last year and had a great time. Dave Hill will be at the bash this year, so it would be the perfect time to go.
Welcome. I'm a relatively new first time owner myself (1,200 miles). This is an extremely friendly site. I hope you enjoy your Vette as much as I like mine.
