What is the functional difference between synthetic oil that meets the GM passenger car spec 6094 and that for Corvettes 4718?

Sorry, it took a while to get this response. I did not have the specs myself, but sent an inquiry to a guy in our lube department. He was away and only answered this morning. In comparison to 6094, which is GM's general purpose synthetic spec, 4718, the Corvette spec, has more stringent requirements for high temp deposit control, very low temp flow properties, and greater oxidation stability. He said 6094 specs were actually not much different from normal oil specs, having only a slightly tougher spec on very low temp flow properties, though not as tough as 4718. So the bottom line is that any oil meeting 4718 will also meet 6094, but the reverse is not true.
