Im saving this one for the next thread I see started by a F55 owner complaining that all Z51 owners do is pick fights... you sir are the one insisting on making this a F55 vs Z51 poll WHICH IT ISNT AND WASNT INTENDED TO BE .. please step away from the horse.. slowly back awaaaayyy from the horse and put the club down now... slooowwllyyy...

First I'm not scorning personal preferences, just tired of the same rant,same person, month after month, just trying to see how many posts he gets. Its so old by now. Its not like a newbie that comes in and hasn't seen old posts, so he thinks "yea, lets talk about this" Its the same member, so obsessed with his choice that they petition the forum to change their name and all they post about is "Z51 this and Z51 that" and "How much superior the ride is" Please get off the soapbox!
F55 is a much better ride, absolutley no where near as stiff as a Z51.
As far as superior braking, they have holes drilled to cool them down if your running hard around a track, not everyday driving. Yea they look cool, if you don't see the rust in the holes, AND thats only if there not turning!!!!! Do you actually think that a base braking system isn't good enough to stop you???? Oh my...
Tranny cooler, diff cooler, again only comes into play if your driving around a track somewhere building lots of heat by running them to the limit! How many run that hard in traffic? suspension? wait till you have to replace your shocks!$$$$$
Just tired of ones obsession that has to be played over and over again.
touting how much better it is than base or F55. I chose F55 for the superior soft ride it gives you on roads and highways made for TRAVELING, not for beating lap times or 1/4 times. I wish I could find that pic of a Z51 and Non Z51 going over the same hump in a road, small little one rolling one at that. The Z51's back wheels are like 3 inches off the ground, while the non Z is right there, stuck to the asphalt!! I hope someone has this and can post it. So everyone can see what Z51 does on normal roads when your torquing your Vette a little.

We all drive the badest American muscle car on the planet, some for pleasure, some on the track. If your not tracking it, its not worth it!! If your going to a track then yes, its a great value for what you get.
Z51 option is solely intended for a track, its a performance package, and you can't perform or get the most out of it on roads and highways that are made for traveling..... thats it! Over and out..

This thread and poll center around the Z51 C6. It is not a comparison of any type between the Z51 C6 and C6s with the magnetic select ride control option.

It was a poll designed for people who had already picked up their Z51 equipped cars.

 

I am curious. If its a Z51 oriented poll, then why are you interested in it in the first place????

Hey, dude, I know it wasn't. I was just kidding around in response to the guy who said let's all divide up and fight to the death. The old idea of single combat by the best soldiers in each army was my humorous response.

As to the poll, anyone who read it thoughtfully noted it was asking Z51 owners what they would have done if Z51's were unavailable. I guess that's interesting to you. It doesn't happen to be for me.

I occasionally read the rant threads because it's more amusing than self-abuse, although sometimes you feel as silly afterwards. In all, the Z51 v. F55 argument is one of the most puerile that we have on CF...and no argument is gonna change anyone's mind. That's why the image of Agamemnon calling for Achilles and the Thessalonian King calling for Boagrius came to mind.

I hope I haven't ruffled too many feathers here, but if I did, WTF.
