Default What To Expect

Picking up my 6 speed Rag Top February 27 with a museum delivery without ever test driving one at the dealer. In fact I haven't driven a 6 speed since my C4. My 99 C5 was an auto, so I have never driven a 6 speed C5.

So, what can I expect to experience in clutch & shift feel over the C4. Hopefully the difference will be quite noticeable and a welcome surprise

In fact I have not even sat in a C6, so when I take delivery I wil have just about all of C6's highlights to enjoy.

One question: Are the gas, brake, and clutch pedal surfaces plastic or metal?

Thanks

Haven't driven a 6 speed C6, but I can tell you that the brake and clutch are metal and the accelerator is plastic. The C5 is pretty easy to drive and I've heard the C6 has slightly shorter throws.

You are in for a treat!

The pedals are metal.

The Clutch is very user friendly. Takes very little effort to push, not like the old MGs.

You will be very impressed with how tight the car feels even compared to your C5. And the power is quite noticeable.

Congrats!

Default just got mine on thursday

just picked up my velo.yellow z51 mn6. blown away by how easy the clutch engages compared to every other vette i've ever had. gears are tight yet shift well with not too much effort. amazing power. sold an m3 for this. quality control is good. polished wheels a touch disappointing. good luck with yours

Man are you going to have fun. Don't worry about it, after a few minutes of practice you should do fine. And in any case, once you get on the freeway you can practice with the clutch feel and gears, which are both quite different from the C5 anyway.
