I'll be picking up my new Z51 coupe next month at the NCM, and have been reading comments about the C6's low chin spoiler. Have any of you scraped yours on speed bumps in your own driving? I'm wondering how cautious I need to be, esp. since I have to navigate several in the driveway near work every day. Is it better to go at them at an angle, or do you have a set speed that works best when you pass over them?
At stock height I haven't scraped on any speedbumps. I just hit them straight on and go very slow. Now that my car is lowered, the air dam scrapes the top of speed bumps, but not more than it would scrape anywhere else so it's not a problem for me.
Usually taking it slow and angling helps, but there are places where it's just gonna scrape anyway. Doesn't seem to hurt anything, although I wouldn't be surprised if I end up replacing the spoiler sometime. Not as bad as some cars I've had, the exhaust system is nicely tucked in and there's plenty of clearance to most things.
Only place we have speed bumps here is in parking lots, but my 05 C6 seems to handle them slowly without any trouble. Actually have less of a bump than my wife's Vibe, because of the larger tires, I guess.
No matter how careful you are parts of the spoiler will scrape from time to time. But it is designed to scrape and is easily and cheaply replaced if it gets really ragged.

You will experience speed bumps first hand. Look at the NCM web site for the outside shots. They have speed bums right where you take final ownership of the car out front.
Some of the residential streets around my home have speed "humps," big, wide things across the street. I have found I need to be at 20 mph or below to avoid scraping on the way up and on the way down. For real speed "bumps" in parking lots, I go really slow, but mostly to keep from jarring my fillings loose, not sure if the car would scrap over a "bump."
