How do you guys avoid catching your front end on a raised platform?

Like, my garage is raised off the ground on a rather steep slope, I swear I'm a millimeter off it when going on. And don't even get me started on speed bumps.

Just stay back a bit when you see something that looks like it is going to hit the front end. I never take a chance.

Just have to be soooo damn careful when parking etc... I've banged the radiator supports a few times already and have scrapped the bottom of the rocker panels more than a few times as well. I really think that those who take it to the next step and lower them are out of their minds.

be nice to see some pics of what is catching it.
Sometimes like 2vettes has suggested you can back in.
sometimes you can get a 2 X 10, and lay it down before the trouble area to get your wheels up a bit before you scrape.
try to get a pic if you can...

Back up about 100ft, then rip it... once you reach 88mph your flex capacitor will transport you safely over the drive way, works everytime...

Whats the stopping distance for the Vette again?

Its steep enough that I wouldn't be able to see where I was going if backing in.

But yea, like parking spaces. Some of them are small enough that the tail of the car would be about 2' behind the others if I stayed behind that little raised thing at the end of the platform.

I can't be careful when I want to go forward on the road and there is something in the middle of the road that I KNOW is going to scrape some paint off the front end of my car.

I catch the car on SPEED BUMPS! Shouldn't there be a national height limit for speed bumps or something?

Speed bumps are pointless. The only people that slow down are sports car drivers. SUVs, pickups, and POS cars barely blink.

Did you lower your car?
I have never caught mine on speed bumps, slow or fast...
