My new C6 is a daily driver, and we're really piling on the miles. So far no problems at all (knock on wood), and I love the car.
My experience with past GM products was that, for the way I drive, they were pretty good up to around 100,000 miles, and then it was probably time to trade them in. Maybe a couple of problems, but basically pretty decent reliability up to that point.
Can I hope for this with the C6, or is this unrealistic for a car that can run with exotics?

take care of it. my folks have a 98 tahoe that is well over 200k and is still running like a champ. doesnt look that great anymore, but engine is still solid.
a little Zaino, TLC, keep up with regular service, and dont rag out the engine and it'll run as long as you need it to.

My father put 270,000 on a GMC van. It had the original engine that had not been rebuilt except for a rebuilt head. The water pump went out at around 200,000 and warped the head and blew a head gasket. It had one transmission job.
I drive 30,000 a year, my wife drives 20,000. We have been consuming GM cars at this rate for about 25 years. We have kept all of them for at least 150,000 miles. The best was 250,000 on a Jimmy, the worst was 150,000 on a Tracker.
Not 100% trouble free, but pretty damn inexpensive to keep'em running.
