Well, my son graduates from college this spring and I've really been missing my C5. I was talking to my wife and thinking about buying a used C5 coupe or perhaps waiting until the end of the summer and going for a new C6. The price of a low mileage C5 (2002 or newer) with under 30,000 mikes on the clock is going to cost me between $30k and $35k. The way I figure it for another $6k I can get a 2006 left over or a 2007. I haven't had a chance to test drive a C6 yet.
Since many of you have had C5's, I'd be interested if folks would give me a feel for the differences between the two generations (pros and cons). I've been checking out the Kerbeck web site and it looks as if there are some good deals out there. If you would provide other dealerships towards the eastern part of the US, I would appreciate it.

pretty much the same situation although my youngest is still in school, i looked at 2003's figuring i may catch some warranty but the good ones were mid 30's so i somehow got drawn into a c6, the loaded vette wasnt going to work for me so i researched and drove a 1lt and was quite happy with my choice, i dont know about the price at the end of the summer but there seems to be some good deals at dealers that advertise on this site. from where you're at you could easily get to the northeast or midwest without too much trouble i would think and the ride home would be worth it. the base a6 isnt for everyone i know but it was a way for me to get my foot in the door and i dont think i'll have any regrets.
I put 2 girls thru college, then 2 weddings. Waited a year then did a museum delivery last Nov. I still have 2 more for college and a wedding, but I've got 6 more years before that to have fun.
I haven't been seen my car for 2 months and I'm going completely bonkers. I've been circulating between my G35, M3 and Prelude and it's just not the same.
When my car comes back, (mods) it will be a monster so the wait will be worth it
