Thanks,
I know, it's been eating me alive being so long without my car. And I haven't seen any around here either.

It's not an badge/emblem, those are turn signals. Another mandatory thingy in Belgian law.

I don't see that many Corvettes here, one maybe two in a few months time.
I don't know what the general perception is, but the guys I told about my Corvette where very enthusiastic about it. But then again some of them didn't even know what I was talking about. It is kinda really exotic here to own a Corvette. And definately a head-turner .
You can compare it to a Ferrari around where I live but for half the price .

Congrats on your new purchase!

Interesting to see the subtle changes in the Euro-spec Car.
Didn't notice the headlight washers or side markers until they were pointed out.

Do you have many opportunities to let the Vette "stretch her legs" a little there?

Yes, it is interesting to know the differences. I think the taillights, washers and side markers not the only differences, I haven't found other visual differences yet, but I do know in Belgium the Z51 package is not an option, it is standard .
And the odometer comes in two modes aswell mph and kmh.

Belgium isn't that big so long stretching highways are a dream but twisty and curvy roads we have a lot.
And when I really want to let her go, I pay a visit to Germany's 'Autobahn'. It's legal there to drive at high speeds.

Base coupe price is 68550 EUR (approx. 81350 USD)
The options I got are the luxury package (with the HUD and all) for 2850 EUR (approx. 3400 USD) and the navigation for 2350 EUR (approx. 2800 USD) which totals to 73750 EUR (approx. 87500 USD). That's like almost double of what you guys pay

The vert is 10000 EUR more expensive and the Z06 20000 EUR.

Then we have a one-time owner-registration fee which is 5000 EUR (approx. 6000 USD) and a yearly road tax of approx. 2400 EUR (approx. 2850 USD)
Insurance isn't cheap either but that depends on where you live, how old you are and what your driving history is.

And on top of that we have to deal with huge gas prices .
