Somethings not right!
I had 3-4 DSB episodes over the last year and a half, and have yet to replace my original Delco, so it's probably not the strongest. I travel 2 miles-1 mile-1 mile (and that's it) day after week after year, and I have had no DBS or dead battery in a year. Maybe I'm just lucky, or maybe it's our generally warm climate that saves me.
Are most of the problems with 3LT's? Have the less complex electronic packages been any less prone to battery failure?
Polls on '06 battery failure shows significant failure rates for MN6 and A6, the specifics have not yet been looked into much. That may be a good next step.
My 06 MN6 did the same 2 weeks ago. Had only been sitting for 1 week; went to start it, and it was completely dead. Charged the battrery myself for a full day, and it restarted ok. Since then I have parking in reverse to see if that helps. If it happens again, I guess I'll go witha Priority Start setup.
Parking in reverse should have no bearing on '06 battery failure. If it happens again have the car and battery checked out.

I lost my C5 battery because my trickle charger was not grounded well enough. C5&C6 are very difficult to find a GOOD ground. Did you go straight to the terminals with your trickle charger? I have had 0 problems when I grounded straight to the battery. My charger has a high speed flicker when fully charged. I ran a small plug out of the hood on passenger side. plug charger in the plug for garage door opener. Takes 2 seconds to plug in. I had 2 c5s both were totally dead if they sat 2 weeks. I decided to solve it myself.

I agree, but I thought WTH, it can't hurt.
Anyway, after a lengthy ride today, she should be fully charged up. I'm gonna be traveling for a least a week; so she'll sit, we'll see what happens in a week or so.
