Born on Date?
Request help finding out what date my 06 was born on. I have seen other posts that state that you can contact "somebody" at GM or the plant with your VIN to get the exact date.
Can anyone give me a POC to find out the exact date. I figure if I don't find out now, it will only be harder as time goes by.
My VIN is 1G1YY36U365102971, so I figure it was the 2,971st vette built, probably sometime in the 2nd month of the 06 production year. Thanks for any help your able to give. Jeff

Well I'm half way there. Kevin responded in about 5 minutes saying he needed the order number. Talked to Rick and he looked up the order number for me on the spot (thanks Rick, you da man). Was able to tell me that the car was shipped on my birthday, 28 September (kinda cool). So now hopefully Kevin can tell me the exact born on date.
If my wife knew I was doing this she would think I'm nuts!!! Only us corvette nuts could understand.

I looked under my right fender and noticed a bunch of scribble marks in various locations with a white grease pencil. Couldn't make anything of them though.
