ZIP Products problem

Default ZIP Products problem

I just ordered 4 items from ZIP (recommended vendor???). A week later I get an email telling me 2 items were shipped; 2 backordered. I called customer service, wise guy on phone says "backordered is backordered." No shipment date offered...he said maybe 2 weeks.

I prefer vendors who tell you stuff is in/out of stock at order time...not at shipment time. Won't go to them again - and CAUTION[SIZE=3] to all others...not happy here.

Did it say the items were In-Stock when you ordered? It takes a lot of money and effort to have real-time stock status put on your web site. Not many places do it.

I've called Zip a few times, and they're always more than happy to tell me what they have in stock.

People sure do complain a lot on this forum.

I would call back and get another sales rep. You are the customer and I would tell them you want a delivery date or you will place your order with someone else.

I have been ordering from ZIP for six years and never had a problem. I will continue to use them when they have the product I am looking for at the right price.

Ordered from them many times, never had a problem. Even when I have called they have been helpful. Try calling and asking to speak to a manager. IMO

I do not know which salesman told you that, but I would be interested in knowing. It looks like this order was a web order and it tells you on the website if something is not in stock. Either way it was the red hood strips on B/O and they should be here by the end of this week. They do not normally take long to get here. I am sorry about this but I have not been stocking the red stripes, the sales have just started to increase in the last two weeks or so on them and I will try and have a set here in stock next time.

Give them another chance,. You just spoke with 1 person, they can't all be bad. They have been in business for a while and couldn't afford to do business like that.

I had a similiar problem. I ordered a shirt 2/16/06 requested the fastest shipping. Was told it was back ordered. They shipped it 3/03/06 and charged me $42.00 for shipping. $42.00 for delivery two weeks later.

What pizzes me off is that last night the cargo carrier was listed as in stock and today after having ordered it I got an email saying it's on backorder.Kinda deceiving

I have been buying from Zip for over two years now and never a problem. I have used mail order and direct purchase from them and they have bent over backwards for me. If you are ever unhappy talk(ask) for JT, I have never known anyone that was unhappy with his service.

You have to understand how the system works. We probably have between 500 and 1000 phone calls a day. Just because you see something on the website in stock or a salesman says it is in stock and you do not order it right then, it might not be there a day later. I try and keep as much in stock as possible, but when you have over 20K part numbers, sometimes you can only put 1 on the shelf if it is not a big seller. Rdscolo, if you said ship fast as possible, that means UPS NDA. We should have probably recomeded not to do that, but at the same time you do share some of the responsibility for it because you asked for the fastest shipping. Unfortuantly we see so many orders that if the mistake or miscommunication is not caught when the order is being placed it will not get caught until the customer gets it. Anyways hopefully we can make it up to you, if you can think of something you can call me directly, I would like to make the situation right. I can be contacted at 800-962-9632x256
