Spring Projects - Completed!!!
I had some custom painting done by Pat from B&R Auto Body in Pompano, FL. He does awesome work, loves working on cars and yachts. He painted my interior trim mag red, and did my air intake, fuel rail covers, fuse box cover and coolant cover. Best of all, Pat is a forum member.
My friend and neighbor, Greg, provided me with the letters for the FRC's. Greg is also a forum member; though not a vendor, he sells select merchandise for various makes on his web site.
Ken from Vette Essentials sent me some gear - shift and emergency brake boots. At my request, he kept it simple. Black leather with red stitching. As we all know, his craftsmanship is superb. The only nuisance was the long wait, but that's my fault. It could have been avoided by sending him my emergency brake boot rather than waiting for him to get one on exchange.
Finally, I really couldn't complete my project without help from Pipedreams! Ed spent lots of thankless time talking me through the removal of the dash components, sending me instructions and photos of the hoodliner project, and giving me general moral support! My wife and I completed this aspect together.
Next project - complete my stereo upgrade, then the brakes - rotors and calipers. Without further ado, the photos!
Under $500 for the whole thing.
I did a lot of work myself, though. Removing the parts that got painted took a good, solid 2-3 hrs; same for reinstallation. The hoodliner took at least 6 hours when added up; maybe longer. Not to mention hunting down the various paints that needed to be used.
Well worth it - my favorite projects are the ones I do myself!

Looks great and not to much bling! I like it...

Beautiful!!! Real classy. Love the way you coordinated everything. Nice interior, nice engine bay and nice hood liner.
Like your choice of next goodies. Then, you need to start modding the engine!
I will have my car back Friday with all of the engine mods done. Lunch next week to compare?
Jeff
PS: Pipedreams (Ed) is making me a mini "Batmobile", down to the smallest detail (chromed pieces, calipers, mats, lettering).

Recognize that one? Same chick sitting next to me in the RX-7 back in September of '91 when you told us about 'a landslide'; remember?
Any interest in joining my brother and I in Park City next week?
