Default 2005 C6 Vertical door (bolt onkit)

http://www.westcoastcorvette.com/pc-...lt-on-kit.aspx

Does anyone know anything about this. It looks really cool , but does it void the warranty and does it really work ok?

It costs $2595.00. I want to hear some feedback from people who have tried it before i buy. Any info would be great!!!

This has been on the forum several times. It can cause some cutting of the body parts and leaking. The fit is not always as advertised. Do a search and you can find the post. I don't know why anyone would do this. What is the purpose?

you don't think it looks cool? I do and besides I wouldn't have to worry about dininging my doors in the garage or against someone elses car.

Just a thought

I have heard the best, and only, benefit of Lambo doors is that they prevent fat chicks from entering.

What about exit in a roll-over? Besides, I think they look bad even on a Lambo.

The door's would not open in my garage. They would hit the roll up.

I believe the doors work both methods..... up or swing out!

I repeat again....... If you look on the same website for the C5 version you will see the C5 with vertical doors that I traded in for my C6. I was the second car to get it done and they used mine for their website and catalog. They get the kit from Vertical Doors in Ontario Calif. DON'T DO IT! It may look good and I won many car shows with it but it isn't worth it. Your doors will never close the same or correct afterwards. It is a pure pain.

Personally I don't like it but if you do, go for it. Do what makes you happy.

Check the FAQ section there is a link to vertical door mods.. I havent heard any good things about it for other than show cars. I like the look but woudnt do it for the finish, safety, pita indexing issues.... but as other said: each to his own.. if it is what you want then go for it
