any one install altec splash guards from zip products ? any tips

You will find that they require drilling 3-4 holes in each fender. That alone was enough to turn me off. I put the pipedreams (www.c6dreams.com) flaps on in 10 minutes without any drilling. They work great and are almost invisible.

after everything I've seen on here, These are the one's I'll get.....plan on taking to NCM with me next month. Ordered the car from forum dealer...parts from forum vendor.

I used the Altec and really like them. Sure, you do have to drill but I have no intention of removing them. They look great. The fit and finish are perfect.

Mine have been on for months....never said anything to anyone and my son just noticed them Sunday when he waxed the car....that's how well they blend in !

Just received my splash guards from Ed and put them on last night, practicly invisible (I have a black car), went on smooth under 10 minutes for the set.......... plus if I decice to take them off there arent any holes......

I like Ed's but for me, I like the look of the Altecs a bit more. Mine are not just for functionality, I actually LIKE the look (I know - I'm in the minority here). I'm looking now for something I can place between the guard and the fender so the plastic guard wont scratch the fender at all. Something like cleartastic but I dont know whats out there thats similar.

I used regular household, foam, self adhesive insulation. It worked just fine.
