I realize I am one of the few people who think we have too many emblems on our C6s. Is there anywhere on the car that an emblem has not been tried? Maybe inside the gas tank.
I agree with you...after a while I think the more you have, it lessens the impression that the factory emblems portray. Having 1 on the hood and 1 on the rear to me is classy. The one on the steering wheel is cool.
But when people toss one on their exhaust plate, license plate frame, center console, floor mats, deck mat, deck cover, rear window and so on...it gets a bit tacky for me.
But it's really about personal preference. You don't buy a Corvette because you want everyone else to look at it, you buy it because you love it. If it floats your boat, that's what counts.

I'd be happy not to have a few of the ones the car comes with - especially the inside ones! Instrument panel, steering wheel, nav screen - that's three I'm looking at right there!
My preference is to keep things clean and understated. However, I can understand all points of view on this simply because it is entirely a matter of personal preference. Also, the number of vendors catering to the Corvette nation, speaks volumes about the diverse tastes among our membership. In my opinion, that's what sustains the car as a truly American icon.
IMHO, if you're going to do a mod, some thought needs to be put into the decision of what you're going to be doing.
Will it be a cohesive item or group of items which complement the design and image of the car, or will it be a disjointed collection of ill concieved parts and pieces that are scattered about the car with no consideration of the overall appearance?
Vette logos everywhere you look remind me of HD riders who replace everything they can with HD logo parts. You take a look at the bike and wonder if the owner has Alzheimer's and can't recall who manufactured his ride.
The C6 Vette is a car whose beauty lies in its design. It doesn't rely on chrome or other glitz to attract admiring stares, but rather the fluid lines of the vehicle. Once you start sticking on badges, etc. and start chroming the car you detract from the look of a modern, world class sports car and turn it into a hanger for add-ons and stickers. YMMV.

Adding or subtracting to any car is to the taste of the individual.....when enough individuals mod their vehicles, the designers take that into consideration, and before you know it what was once an individual's mod is now part of the production vehicle. The pendulum swings in design....the days of no or blackout chrome are past, the bling, like it or not is back.....and nothing wrong with it....
Consider the truly classic sports car designs, those that will last the test of time, far beyond the C6 ...such as the Gull Wing Mercedes 300SL, front engine V-12 Ferrari's, Maserati's, all had plentiful amounts of chrome both outside and in......You'll never see a "world class" C6 years from now getting mid six figures + at auction....but a chromed grille, chromed tailight, chrome side vent, Chromed spears, and chrome dash bezeled 300SL will do it every time!
So tell us about your C6...bone stock? Color combo? Performance mods?
I think they have enough, and I won't be adding another one on mine. I wish they didn't put that ugly "GM" badge on the new ones. I think those look tacky, but oh well, I guess I'll have to deal with it.
