Dash Dye?

I feel like the dash top / door top colors on the 2003 Anniversary cars are better looking then the standard Ebony in the C6, am wondering if anyone's tried having their dash dyed? I'm told they can make virtually any color inot any other color...but am leery of wear, peeling, etc.

The reason most cars have dark dashtops is to prevent reflection in the windshield. Light colored dash tops create a very annoying glare on sunny days.
