Over the last few days I’ve been to at least 8 local dealers to make a deal on a C6. Only one local dealer would honor GM supplier pricing and had an order allocation open for a 6-8 week delivery.
Thought I had decided on everything – convert, 6 speed, 3LT, NAV, chrome wheels, Z51, no power top, and no Onstar. Color choices were originally Lemans Blue, titanium, and a black top. Now when it’s down to signing on the dotted line the final decision of the color choice is agonizing. This is my first new vette. Others were a 96LT4 coup (red/blk) and a 02 convert (red/blk) which I still own. Feel like I should go for something different. The grey against the blue is appealing. So is the 2 tone interior. But I always thought vettes were supposed to be red on black.
Is the power top worth the high option cost? The C5 top is so easy to operate I do not see a need for the power top. Anyone wish they had the option or not?
i'll bet the msrp was $60,665, because i ordered mine EXACTLY the same way. right down to no onstar, mine is dsom and i pick it up next month at the factory! we are keeping the wifes 03 yellow coupe, she just loves that car, matter of fact we went shopping today in snow fluries in her vette!! we got all kinda looks!
hey good luck with yours!

Just got our first Vette with manuel top 2 weeks ago. Did not think 2K was worth it for power top even though we sold a 96 Mustang GT with power top. The top is very easy to use. Can't speak about the power top though I'm sure power toppers will chime in. This is my wife's daily driver and she is the one that will be putting the top up and down! She has had no issues so far.
Good luck!

Keep in mind that LeMans Blue will add $300 to the M.S.R.P.
