The manual is correct.
Inflate to 30 psi for daily driving.

In my experience, for some unknown reason a HUGE percentage of dealerships, tire shops, and service stations are utterly incapable of figuring out how much air pressure is appropriate, which is very worrisome considering what a simple thing it is. I can't tell you how many times I've left dealerships, tire shops, etc. and checked my tires later to find them inflated to ~40psi or greater. Kind of makes you wonder how they're capable of doing any of the difficult stuff.

Go by the manual (and most cars also have it printed in the drivers' door jam, not sure if the C6 does nor not, haven't checked yet).

Yes the pressure is on the door car frame not on the door, and yes it's 30 lbs.

Default I have found that even tire shops

inflate to the wrong pressure. It always amazes me that such a simple procedure cannot be done correctly in a large percentage of cases. I always check my own tire pressure in all my vehicles. 90% of the time, I'm letting air out due to overfilling.

Its sometimes the guy that does the car washes at the dealership who checks the tires. I have heard of cases where they inflate the tires to what the maximum sidewall rating is.

I've folllowed the recommendations of 30 psi cold for the first 8000 miles on Z51 supercars. At that my tire tread measurements were even for the front tires at 7/32's remaining across the tire. The rears were 7/32's on the inside and outsides with 6.5/32's in the center. Going to keep 30 psi in the fronts and dropping the rears to 28 psi and see if that evens them out.

One problem is the gauges we use. Not many read the same. I had collected around 7 or 8 over the years and I checked them all and only two read the same on one tire. I assumed those two were right and tossed the rest. I still don't know if the two remaining are correct. They do agree with the DIC.
