Default Dealer fun again!!

Ok so I gave up on my quest for a ZO6. Since I saw so many beautiful member cars that were moded up I said I can do that. I found a 2006 low mile C6 at a dealer. They wanted $46,000 for it! This is a 1SA no option car with 8,500 miles. Trade value is 39,000 and wholesale is 37,000. So some sucker got nailed in trade in. I wanted to trade my M-3 for it. Trade in value 49,000, wholesale 47,000 and guess what? They offered me 42,000 for my car and would not budge on the C6 He did say that he could give me a couple more thousand if I bought new as there is "very little mark up" I asked him how Les Stanfield can discount 10,000 on left over C5's and he said they are losing money and will never give that to you. I think I am tired of the whole thing.

Can you say BRAINDEAD dealer... These cars aren't like fine wine and most do not increase in value with age. What usually happens is they sell it to another dealer at a loss instead of a direct customer. Go figure.........

46K?!?!! Are you kidding me!? For a used c6 with 8,500k miles!?!?

Are you sure it wasn't 36? (which is still too high) There's no way...can't you order it brand new for 39k?

I'd order a brand new from elsewhere than fax that crack-dealer your reciept...and perhaps a "How to become a TV repairman in 30 days" guide.

Default Don't buy from that dealer!

Move on Bro. I'd say order a new one from supporting dealer like I did.

I paid just a hair over $47 for a zero mile 3LT 2006. I am glad I did it this way and car is exactly to my spec.

You could even do the NCM delivery!

I paid $42,600 (tax and tags not included) for a 2lt with 6speed auto. Good deals are out there if you're willing to wait 6 weeks.

Try Tommy Jr. at MacMulkin Chevrolet in NH. If you live far away you can always check with all major transportors ie. Intercity, Exotic (I used them), Passport. With the deal you could get from MacMulkin, adding transportation to your door will still be below what many other dealers will do with you having to go get the car.

I paid less than that for a brand new one. As others have said, keep looking.
