Trading my M3 for a new C6 Coupe. Live in a small town with very few allocations from the local delaers. So far...my choices are:
1. Monterey Red with Casmere.
2. LM Blue w/ Ebony.
Choices are limited because I am particular about having the car the way I want it (more important than color)....Z51, MN6, LT3, Nav, Polished wheels, On-star, etc.
Question: Is cashmere realistic to keep clean for someone that uses the vette as a daily driver? I am a golf professional and will often be traveling in the vette on rainy golf days, etc. Will black floormats look ok / help? Is the rear compartment of cashmere intrerior light or dark carpet?
I guess my first thought is to go with black interior- but I have never seen the LM blue up close/ in person. How does it look with ebony? Anxious to see the blue.
I could always (with patience) place an order... maybe silver or red with black interior and just wait the 6-8 weeks to build.
Any thoughts. Photos appreciated.
I have cashmere tan on al 3 of my vettes, in varying shades due to the year differences. Have never had a problem keeping them clean. Of course, regular cleaning and conditioning is a must no matter what color you choose.
As mentioned above though....get what you really want, or you will regret it!

This is smart! Get what you want from the outset!!

Yes. I personally prefer dark mats with a cashmere interior.

All rear compartments are ebony.

Thanks!
The blue is amazing; I would have gone with the blue if I could have gotten it with ebony.
Hm. I have ordered the black interior with the Monterey Red. The dealer had a MR with cashmere on the showroom floor but I managed to put some black scuff marks on the floormat from New Balance tennis shoes when I sat in it for 5 minutes. Made the decision to go black inside VERY easy. I also didn't much like the tan top.
All that being said, definitely go for what you really want - that's what I did by ordering and I am sure I will be happier. I flipped back and forth over black exterior (that's what I test drove) and it looks fantastic but I owned a black car before (T-Bird SC) and swore I would never have a black car again.
Go out of state...I'll bet Kerbeck's has exactly what you want. Great drive back or have it trucked. Get what you want or you'll regret it every time you get in it. Good luck.
Wondering if the LMB is as difficult to keep clean as the black?
Well, I have an Indigo Blue 2002 Avalanche and it is MUCH easier to keep clean than the black T-bird ever was. Maybe I am not *quite* as picky since it is a truck but it certainly doesn;t show every spec of dust like black seems to. JMO

How far are you from Atlanta? Check Monica Dean at Maxie Price -- Forum vendor, some dinky place about 20 miles east of Atlanta. The extra choice, and probably better deal, could make the trip worthwhile. No harm in trying. See the "Dealer Inventory" tab at the left side of the Forum "home" page, just under "Community", tab it, and you'll find all the vendors, including Monica.

LeMans Blue / Ebony is an absolutely kick-a** combo. It's beautiful.
Both LMB and Monterey Red are sufficiently dark that they're going to be tough to keep looking like new, especially if you're particular about not seeing swirls and spiderweb scratches. Also, neither is particularly forgiving of dust and dirt.
Whatever you go with, how you wash it will largely determine how long it looks unblemished. I've had good success using microfiber towels in conjunction with the Mr. Clean AutoDry System. The microfiber doesn't cause spiderwebs and since the Mr. Clean AutoDry System allows you to completely air-dry the car without waterspotting, nothing comes in contact with the finish that will scratch it.
