Need recommendation for a computer memory saver to use when battery is disconnected on the newer computerized Corvettes.
For what ever reason, most things in memory get saved on the C6 despite loss of battery voltage.
The windows need to be re-indexed, but I think that's about it.
Getting it "on" is the difficult part, but there is a thing called a "green ****" that I've used in the past when I was doing computer tuning on another vehicle. Basically, it installs between the post and the cable and to disconnect the battery you just unscrew the ****. They have a "plain" model and one that has a fuse and a low power circuit that won't permit the car to be started, but puts enough voltage on it to maintain your radio and computer presets.
I hesitate to post a link to a none forum vendor but if you do a web search for "green ****" on google, you'll find at least one vendor in the top 5. I don't think any forum vendors have them, but I may be wrong, you might want to check with them, first.
